The Roots - 1956
Ararat was born in the heart of Athens, when our grandfather opened a small army surplus shop in 1956. What began as a humble space built on hard work and craftsmanship gradually evolved, as hats became more than just products — they became the identity of the shop.
The Expansion
Over the years, the second generation expanded this vision. Through the 90s, 00s, and 10s, the store transformed into a destination for quality headwear, known for its carefully selected pieces and dedication to timeless style. What remained constant was a commitment to authenticity and personal connection with every customer who walked through the door.
The Reinvention
Today, the third generation continues that journey — not by replacing the past, but by blending heritage with a modern perspective. We bring together global brands and in-house customization under one roof.

Alongside this curated selection, we’ve developed our own in-house embroidery service — a natural extension of our heritage.
In our basement workshop, transformed into a dedicated embroidery studio, each piece can be personalized on demand. This is where tradition continues to evolve — in the same space where previous generations built their work, now reimagined for a new era.
